A Rare Opportunity: Top of the World!

lunch-panorama-(huge)

Last Thursday, I had the rare opportunity to eat lunch atop of The Paramount Theater (A picture from the outside), a venue that hosted such famous artist as Elvis Costello, DEVO, and Bill Clinton. My fellow co-worker invited me and another to this exciting little excursion. We grabbed our teriyaki sandwiches from 2nd and Pike and headed over to meet his friend. After dealing with a manual control elevator, a few narrow stair wells and a treacherous climb up some old fire escape ladder to the top we arrive to the top of the world. I have to admit, it was kind of hard at first to climb in a pair of Italian leather dress shoes, but we managed.

As this was a great photo op, we grabbed out cameras and snapped away. My co-worker got a hold of this fantastic panorama of us sitting down and enjoying the view. Since flickr.com doesn't allow large images, the panorama was reduced highly, but I can assure you that the original image is breathtaking.

…And now for something completely different - my catch up monologue of the last week or so.

Last weekend was Freemont's Oktoberfest. Ah yes, the days of fall and drinking are coming alive. All too well. The start of the drinking season is about to begin. And we started off in the usual escapades. Put it this way, I personally started to drink around 10am at my house while playing with a miter saw and pneumatic nail gun. Power tools and booze is always a fun combination. I head to Freemont and wait for my friends at the George and Dragon. 4 Vodkas. Then meander to the festival. I can't count the beers at this point. Then off to Taiku for our Yohimbe drinks. It was quite a nice night.

That is all for now. LIFE - LIVE IT!
